Breif description of the battlefield:
One building ruins NW end of the table a pond in the middle and a few selected forest. A road running north to south and on the very South East point a oil refinery complete with platform and well.
Orks get first turn off Chaos deferral.
Storyline: The orks have recently captured the city of Dauntillius and have plundered nearly everything within it. A unit of Chaos space marines has recently captured an oil platform and are using it to support their fleets and vehicles. Chaos finds itself outnumbered grossly and potentially outmanned. Chaos wants the ruins to build a fortification so they may establish a stronghold, while the Orks need the oil to run their fleet.
Chaos Demon Prince Nurglag was tasked with the mission of capturing Dauntillius and had arrived to discover it already captured, much of it burned to the ground. An ork force was already established, so Nurglag took the nearest defensible location, an Oil rig in preperation for a difficult conflict.
“I cannot fail my masters.” muttered Nurglag. He then said to his troops, “Soldiers of Nurgle, we are grossly outmanned, soon we will find ourselves waist deep in the enemy. As brave and capable as you are, I am going to commune with the gods and see if they will favour ourselves with some assistance. Hold strong and may the Plague lord favor us with victory this day.”
The Orks had a somewhat less tactful approach. Grimshag told his boys “Yooz take that rubble over dere, we iz gunna takes that oil fer the Waaagh. Lets show dem weak humiez that their shells crack real good.”
“But boss, deez humiez is uglier than the onez we just ate” said one of the boyz.
The only response was the most appropriate one for an ork of Grimshag’s stature. He put a dakka clip in the back of the Boys skull. “Lets go boyz.”
Turn 1:
The Plague marines stood their ground as the troops approached.
The obliterators had just climbed on to firing positions from the tower when a searing rip in reality opened up. With a massive KRAKOOOM the obliterators dissappeared, torn to shreds by the orks shock attack gun. The predator opened up it’s retort, firing a Lascannon directly into the shock attack cannon, destroying both the cannon and the ork firing it in a spray of green.
Out of immaterium appeared a great lumbering Soul Grinder, a pair of pastel green fiends of slaanesh and some daemonettes. They showed up just outside of the weapons platform.
The forces of Chaos opened up concentrated fire on the bikers and the boys behind them. One of the bikes skids to the ground, it’s driver dead. The Soulgrinder coughs up some serious radioactive phlegm on the incoming wave.
Turn 2:
The oncoming charge by the bikes decimated the space marines, forcing them to flee uncharacteristically off field.
The Daemonettes rushed forth to assault the boys behind the bikes, while the fiends battled the bikes, both conflicts ended in chaos shredding through the foe.
The Soulgrinder towering overhead opting not to get involved with the impending conflict looking over towards the ensuing battle between the Plague Marines and a massive green tide behind them.
Turn 3:
The Nobs with the Painboy were rushing towards the Plague Marines on the platform, shrugging off oncoming fire. They could feel the surge of battle within them, but they are waiting for the right moment to enter into the battle.
As a horrendous “WAAAAAGH” bellowed over the battlefield, the nobs took their chance to rush into combat. The Plague Marines manage to hold the nobs just long enough to let two newly formed units of Demonettes gain their bearings. The Demon Prince seeing the nobs tearing through his favored Plague Marines rushes in to assist them, only to find himself quickly cut under as well.
His sacrifice allowed the Demonettes to rush into combat finishing off the Nobs, while the second unit of clawed vixens rushed the MegaNob Warboss. The Warboss, distracted by their assets is swiftly cut down.
Turn 4:
Quickly the Demonettes find themselves assaulted by a wave of Ork Hard Boys. They manage to hold their own for a while but the Soulgrinder notices they are quickly losing their numbers to attrition. It begins to lumber through the forest to help them while the Demonettes and the fiends near him run in the opposite direction.
Some of them are blown to bits as they approach the battlewagon, but then the fiends and the Daemonettes answer swiftly blowing it up, forcing some of them back into the warp.
The Soulgrinder fails to reach the Demonettes in time to save them, but before the Orks can truly regroup, she is on them crushing Orks underfoot, in her clawed hands and biting off heads. It is a destruction that the Orks have never seen before. With their leader gone, the Orks flee, only to be crushed underfoot by her claws.
Turn 5:
The Demonettes and the Fiends surge into the last set of Orks, in the ecstasy of battle they find themselves overwhelmed.
In their death cries however they open a hole in the warp from which pours a Keeper of secrets. He had been watching the battle from the warp, admiring the beauty of his Demonettes in battle, feeding on the death and surge of emotion. With a croon he enters, the Orks open fire hoping to dissipate him before he has an opportunity to get them. He shakes off a solid wall of lead and rushes headfirst into combat.
Turn 6:
The orks battle for their lives, but in the din of battle it seems time slows.
The Keeper of Secrets runs from the battle. The Orks cheer at their percieved victory. He turns, snorts, and runs singing back into battle. The ruse worked and his eyes fire bolts of doom as he destroys many more of them.
Confused, bewildered and leaderless, the Orks try to flee, only to fall into the warp as a pit into the realm of pleasure opens beneath them.
Results:
Chaos 1
Orks 0
The battle ends with Chaos scoring a hard fought minor victory. Chaos was favored in turn 5 by an additional round.

A worthwhile note on this battle report. The winds of Chaos were strange in this event. Not only did Nurgle get blessed by Slaanesh, but also the gods denied the first wave and instead sent in the second wave.
