Tonight was yet another dangerous night to be a vampire in Phantom City. We had 2 deaths in the city and Malik squirming under the speculation of the FBI and ATF.
Pre Session:
Timmy: Timmy started his evening checking into the events through the paper. Going off a hunch he went and checked out the desk of the mole within Apex Labs, to discover a post it note stating in memory of Claus Ackman with the VII pinwheel located on it. His bugs that were planted on the computer earlier revealed that the worker had downloaded information on the bank accounts of Apex Labs and also documents that could potentially be used as evidence should the information be tampered with.
Malik: Awoke to see his phone was flashing with messages. Penelope let him know her displeasure throughout the day of being invaded by ATF and FBI. He called her and she told him she was coming in. She let him have it about the day she was having, then slammed down the box of Dragons Breath ammunition he had requested to be ordered. In her conversation, he found out that of the 100 lbs of C4 he had requisitioned, 110 was missing from the inventory. Also she stated that Frank Johnson was the name of the FBI agent heading the investigation.
She had also been contacted by Justice Pate stating that she would be willing to meet at 9 pm at a Italian restaurant called the Riserva.
Mike: His truck was completed by B and his ghoul. Mike ended up coming out of his slumber to find his ghoul in the front room in his underwear. Mike rewarded him for not being naked. His ghoul also had fixed a car that day. Despite marked improvement in speed, he still made some errors on the repair.
Sasha: Had a meeting with Glentry, his sire. Glentry had once again stated that he was waiting on news of Sasha killing Michael Campbell. He gave Sasha a loose idea of where Campbell would be.
Jack: Jack had a call from Mistress Toulude asking him to do a job. She tried to pressure him into coercing a girl to work for her that was similar to the boy she had kidnapped previously. Jack declined her offer.
Huntington extended an offer to have Jack become a co-member in the new Obsidian boxing league. The league would address issues of high profile kindred boxers that want to compete, but cannot due to concerns with new technology. Jack established that he would be interested in co-sponsoring the league.
B: His coach was frantic with the media attention. He stated that B cannot go to the majors due to the condition of vampirism. B Received a call from Huntington asking him to join the Obsidian League if it goes through. This served as an out for B and he took it. His coach made a story up about how B had shattered his hand with the blow, and that it would require several weeks to heal. Most likely his boxing days were over.
The Game: The party started split amongst their own goals. Tim shared what information he had with Malik. They cooked up the idea to hide the explosives in a mislabeled crate. Sasha ran by and picked up the packaging and labels, and met Mike and B at the only warehouse that hadn’t been investigated yet. It happened to be warehouse 5. While there they blocked the hole that Tim had torn in the warehouse sheeting from the prior game and evaded detection by the FBI agents securing the compound. Tim focused on researching the suspected villain and Malik handled what bits of the crisis he could.
Jack went to the Nunnery and tried to scrounge up some info on the potential location for Neves, hoping for a information leading to a peremptory strike. While he found lots of info on the Doctor through conversation, Neves either hadn’t shown there or made his presence known. While there he noticed the Primogen Chelsea Foxfly watching the burlesque show but didn’t introduce himself.
Malik met with Justice Pate and had a meeting about the “relationship” between her organization and Malik’s. They came to a mutual understanding, and she introduced him to Frank Johnson, who basically stated that he would give Malik a fair shake, and that most likely the whole whistle-blower report was due to the potential for a big payout if the corporation is convicted. Malik headed back to Apex.
Brian noticed Foxfly take a phone call and rush out of the Nunnery. Brian followed shortly thereafter, as if not to draw extra attention. He exited the building and was about ten steps towards the parking lot when Chelsea entered her car and it exploded. The shock-wave throwing him against the wall.
Meanwhile B went to a shaman to see if he could mystically find Neves, but the Shaman had told him that he’s tried to scry the villain, but the reading is clouded. Mike went to the Golddigger and Tim and Sasha went to the hospital to confront Bishop Michael Campbell.
The Bishop was tending to a group of Leukemia patients in the hospital. Sasha tried to convince Father Michael to separate himself from the children. He said he would be more than happy to meet with them later, but he had his flock to tend to. About that time, Tim and Sasha noticed that there was an increased traffic in the hospital. On their way out they saw the ticker on the news that there was an explosion in the Delta district.
Malik, just leaving the Delta, felt the explosion and received a phone call from a much deafened Jack. They rushed to the scene and Tim and Sasha were also en route. Mike caught a dancer as she fell off a pole and rushed outside as well. A VOIP message was sent over the network announcing Foxfly’s death.
Pulling Foxfly’s last call they discovered that Neves had contacted her stating that he was going to kill Huntington. The coterie contacted Huntington and rushed to his residence. After passing through security they played a couple rounds of cards, of which Jack soundly won. It was soon discovered the call was all just a ruse by Neves to pull Foxfly into his trap.
Going their separate ways, Tim and Sasha went to the church to meet at the appointed time. When they got there, they found the remains of the bishop staked to the door.
