Hello everyone. Boy do I have an update for you! This last weekend theDragonReborn and I were on the road from Connecticut to Kansas as I joined him on his trip home from military training. We decided, since we were in the neighborhood, to make a stop through the Big Apple and visit the local GW store.
The store was awesome. Not large, but large enough to have some great conversation and discuss the newest GW releases and rumors.
The people were awesome. I want to really give a great big thank you to all the wonderful people we met and made us country folk feel welcome in the big city.
So let’s talk cool toys. This place was filled with cool models. From a gigantic Ork Bomba to a Baneblade with custom lighted barrel. Here are a few of the other cool things we saw.
That last picture is of a cool Orc warship that might look familiar. It was featured in a White Dwarf.
Also while we were there they showed us a really cool board that they had created for Space Hulk and were preparing to use with the new Zone Mortalis ruleset. If we had a little more time we may have played a game.
Of course we definitely had to get some kits to grow our armies while we were there.
Overall it was an absolutely awesome visit and the two of us have added it to one of the top highlights from our trip.
Again I want to say thank you to everyone we met there at the shop and hope that someday we may have an opportunity to come back and visit again.

I don’t know if ya got the pictures of the Ork Bomber, but I showed up after ya’ll did and took one. I enjoyed the variety and availability that you would expect from a GW shop, but I will say that the local shops here have much more room!
