Due to an incredibly busy schedule the last two weeks I will be briefly recaping the last D&D session now and put up the more cinematic version later on.
Our party was reunited in the city with the appearance of Gerbo and we restocked and waited for our meeting with Athena. We soon received the summons and went to see what information she might have on the location of the next dragon. When we arrived at her temple Purga made us aware of something we had missed in our previous meeting, Athena was in actuality the Blue Dragon. She quickly rushed inside the temple and we followed her in only to find that she had seemingly disappeared. However, it soon became clear that she had escaped through a secret door and we pursued her into a maze of tunnels beneath the temple. After fighting our way through the hordes of Minotaurs she had guarding her retreat we came at last to a portal which took us to a chamber high above the desert floor. There we found, after Athena banished Purga to the lowest depths of the Abyssal plane, that over the course of eons Athena’s attitude had changed, helped in the right direction by her involvement with creating and leading the people of the sun. So in the hopes of a peaceful resolution we agreed to give her the Blue Al’Sol, once Sasha’s mount could again be summoned, in exchange for information on the Prismatic Dragon’s location and weaknesses.
Again a more dramatic and in depth look will be posted once I can get my schedule back to normal.
We awakened on our 5th day in Hronesburg to find a note at the inn’s bar from the Master Blacksmith, the armor he had been working on was ready to be picked up. After visiting the smithy and getting the armor fitted for the last time, our party ate and began our preparations to leave for the Dragon’s Blood Desert. While buying supplies I ran across a merchant who had a pair of magic bracers that would increase my odds of surviving the coming trip, and, with the proceeds from the recent sale of my dwarven Tomes, I quickly picked them up and returned to the group with my find. With our wagon restocked and the horses saddled we set off from Hronesburg to see Athena once more amongst the People of the Sun. Continue reading →
Our story this week features Sasha the Paladin, Bragor the Cleric, Trogdor the Barbarian, Ash-harr the Wizard, Gnoc the Monk, and of course Soveliss the amazing Bard.
The dwarven temple was silent aside from the faint sounds of scurrying that the smaller golems made as they moved around, going about tasks set for them many hundreds of years ago. I had been left behind the previous night when the rest of the party had gone into the city below and with everybody ready to go down a second time I would not remain above again. The Halfling was nowhere to be found as we started down the stairs and refused to show his self when we called out for him. Knowing that he had probably found something shiny to distract himself we decided to continue on without the Rogue to finish purging the Dwarven city and collect whatever treasures that might remain there.
This is our second video with the brand new Dark Angels codex, this time its Deathwing versus Loganwing as Victor busts out his terminator heavy Space Wolves army. As always feel free to tell me what you think about the game. Continue reading →
This weeks story features the continued story of Gnoc the Monk, Trogdor the Barbarian, Sasha the Paladin, and Soveliss the Bard, Gerbo the Rogue as well as introduces Ash-haar the Gray Elf Wizard played by Mike and the return of Bragor the Dwarf Cleric played by Jeff.
This last sessions game featured the exploits of our party of intrepid adventurers: Gerbo, the halfling Rogue, Dumb Dumb, the Half-Orc Fighter, Trogdor, the Half-Orc Barbarian, Gnoc, the Half-Elf Monk, and Soveliss, the Half-Elf Bard.
We awaken after a restful night to the sound of thunder and torrential rain, and after a quick look around found Sasha missing from our numbers. While searching for the missing Paladin I heard the sounds of a panting dog and stuck my head out of the cave to investigate what could be making the noise. I quickly spotted the Rogue and his dog Poe at about the same time they spotted me, apparently having risked the storm to track down the party. We both retreated back into the cave to try and escape the effects of the storm. Continue reading →
Well with the holidays screwing up everybody’s schedule it’s been hard to get in a game of 40k. But we bust the dry spell with a Daemons vs IG game and it was a knock down drag out fight the whole game. We even throw in a little tactica at the end for our devoted viewers. Continue reading →
We awaken on our third day in the city, eager to begin our journey to find the red dragon in the Ice Mountains. Before we could set off, however, we had to wait for the Paladin to collect his Lion’s saddle. With the rest of the party forced to wait we decided to spend the morning in the company of some beautiful women down at the local brothel. Upon our return to the inn to collect our gear, I found a letter waiting for me from the ever mysterious Athena. It stated that the Al’soh for the Blue Dragon we were seeking might just be found in the company of the Red Dragon, a bonus to the mission we were already planning on undertaking. I spread the contents of the letter to the rest of the party and we eagerly began the planning for the journey. Continue reading →
Well with the game right around the corner it was time to improve our selection of super heavies. The budget was slim but we couldn’t have a game of apocalypse without some titanic war machines, and as luck would have it we were able to track down a couple of really good deals on eBay for just that. Well as the end of the world draws near we must all reflect on our lives and what we hold most dear; family, friends, health… 40k. And since the apocalypse is nigh that means we may only have a few chances left for the biggest, baddest, dakkaiest game of all. That’s right, we’re talking Apocalypse on the Apocalypse. 12/21/12 will be the date of a 10000 pt per side Apocalypse game, held at an undisclosed location (if you ask nicely I might disclose it but not where any of my bosses can hear ). What this means to you is if you have an army… and if you can find us… maybe you can… be a part of the last apocalypse game ever held on the face of the planet Earth.
Update: The game will be a battle between the Imperium of Man and the Xenos armies that constantly threaten their hold on the galaxy.
