This is our second video with the brand new Dark Angels codex, this time its Deathwing versus Loganwing as Victor busts out his terminator heavy Space Wolves army. As always feel free to tell me what you think about the game. Continue reading
Well with the holidays screwing up everybody’s schedule it’s been hard to get in a game of 40k. But we bust the dry spell with a Daemons vs IG game and it was a knock down drag out fight the whole game. We even throw in a little tactica at the end for our devoted viewers. Continue reading
So with everybody’s crazy schedules it has been hard for all of us to get together and get 40k games going, in particular for AG. So in order to get more battle reports with the Swiss Knights, I mean Grey Gouda, I mean Cheddar…. Grey Knights, I have stolen AG’s armies and will now be working them into the rotation. Continue reading
So Victor and I have reached a stage in our Friday afternoon gaming where simply playing normal games of 40k will appease our need for carnage. So in an effort to mix up the normal order of pick an army, set up the table, and play the game we have decided to throw a little bit of randomness into the mix. We have made a list of the 10 armies available for us to play with and we both roll a d10 to decide which army we’ll be in command of for that day. The only real rules for this new system is you can only re-roll once every other game to get a different army, and once you have rolled your army you have the rest of that day to build your list. It’s turned out to be a great way to expand our knowledge of tactics, as well as giving each of us a new insight into each others armies. As it is quite possible to roll an army you don’t normally play you get the opportunity to try something new, use a fun list not based off of how strong it is, and play against an army that very well could be your own. This last Friday the mighty Space Wolves received yet another chance to prove their abilities, this time against the Tau. We played a 2000 PT game, a hammer and anvil deployment Emperor’s Will game, and it wasn’t an easy game for either side. Continue reading
Well this week Victor got in his brand new Space Wolves army and we couldn’t wait to get them on the field to see how they would do. The original plan was to play them against my Tau army to fulfill a request for a batrep from youtube, but at the last second I decided to change to my Daemons. Continue reading
Well I have once again expanded my forces, this time with the addition of the chaos-y goodness that is Daemons. I have set the army up to play Warhammer 40k but with the help of some special movement trays they just might find their way through the warp to the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. I have already managed to get in two games with my Daemons, the first against Space Marines was a solid win though the footage of the game was unfortunately lost in the Warp. My second game was against the Tau Empire and it was a close game that showed just how solid shooting has become in the new meta of 6th Edition. Continue reading
This weekend I was invited to join Victor in a test run on the 6th ed rules. AG and Victor had a previous run, and so I benefitted from their prior experience in the set (check out youtube for our primary video). All in all I was pleased with the rules set and believe it makes the playing field a bit more level. Below are the detailed reasons why. Continue reading
Queue the epic music now and crank up the volume. If your hair doesn’t move with the vibrations you haven’t turned it up high enough. Now on to the main event. At the end of April we had a brief time when all the club’s mini wargamers were able to assemble and put their armies to the ultimate test, an epic 20000 Pt Apocalypse battle. Continue reading
This weekend Daniel, or as many would know him “B”, has requested a private session to get caught up with the group as far as in character play. I will try not to make any dragons eat him.
On the agenda: We have a game coming up next Thursday, the 19th. I’ve been hard at work trying to come up with something that might be challenging to the group. I apologize in advance to those of you who die painful deaths at the hands of Dire Fleas.
On the batrep side, we haven’t had one posted on the blog recently, but if you check the Youtube channel there are at least two posted. One is the 10k apocalypse game we were playing, while the other is yet another battle between Matt and Victor.
Check it out!
