Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm (Review)

At the end of Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty Raynor had captured the queen of blades and reverted her back to his love, Kerrigan.  The story starts off shortly after this occurance, where Kerrigan has been mostly reverted to her human form.  She still has the stylish Zerglocks and some abilities granted to her through the fusion of the zerg to her psychic self.  She can control the zerg using her abilities, as well as crush enemies in some mystical attacks. Call of Duty Black Ops: Revolution -Review-

Yesterday was the first release of Black Ops-Revolution for PS3.  In it came four new maps, Downhill, Mirage, Grind, and Hydro.  Along with it also came Die Riese for the zombies, of which I have not played yet on the new edition, and a new Submachine Gun, the Peace Keeper.  I had a rough time playing many of these maps, as we were playing Kill Confirmed and I was using the SMR, but when I switched to Team Deathmatch apart from the group I enjoyed them much more as the playing style fit the weapon I was using.  (Kill confirmed is truly not a single shot friendly rendition of the game.)  So here are my perceptions on the multiplayer maps and additions: Continue reading

Space Marine: The Video Game (review)

Ok, so this weekend I purchased Space Marine for the PS3 and gave it a run.   Previously I was a consceintous objector, as I really believe that all space marines should rot in Commorragh.  However, I am a gamer first, Dark Eldar second.  So here goes my objective review of the game. Call Of Duty Black Ops 2

Some games have such a hype about them that people will wait outside in freezing weather just to be amongst the first to play them.    Black ops is one of them.

In my moderate sized city of Wichita, I was one of the millions who wanted to be the first to try Black Ops 2 only minutes after it was available.  I chuckled maniacally as I got the box in the warmth of a Best Buy and waited at the gates to exit at 12 am.  Meanwhile, less than three stores away, the Gamestop had a line out the door that looked to be over 200 people or so by my unofficial approximation.  I was glad I wasn’t in that freezing line. HALO 4-Review (Spoilers)

Howdy Atlanteans!

So Election Day has come and gone and millions voted for their candidate.  In the meantime, a war was going on in which millions more around the world participated in.  This was the war between the Master Cheif and the Covenant, along with a new enemy, the Promethians. Continue reading

Racial Statements Pertaining to the new Rules- Xenos and Human

So, I was assigned by Atlantis Gaming Group to get an official statement from each of the races on their feelings about the new rule changes.  You wouldn’t believe how hard it was to get them all to arrive, but using our considerable clout within the WH40K community, I got dignitaries from every major group. A Tale of Two Armies – Zombie Horde Update

Well I guess I am going to have to carry the update for yet another week.  The total number of finished zombies has officially breached 100. Continue reading

Diablo III-Review

I’m an old school gamer, and so when Diablo III came out, I had to warm up the old computer and reserve a copy of the game.  Now that I’ve gotten the game, and had an opportunity to play it, I’m ready to write a review.

The gameplay is phenomenal!  Everything you remember from the old Diablo days comes back in this updated dungeon grinder.  The dark depressive world of Tristram, where trees and bushes are barren unless they are there to hide some dark denziens.  Hordes of undead and demons erupt from crevices, and you can virtually feel the desperation of the city folk as they wonder what comes next.  For the feel of the game the designers did a tremendous job in keeping with the same thing that made Diablo I and II great. Diablo III

Yes, once again Tristram is in trouble and it is relying on a brave hero or a troupe of heroes to save it.  As might be assumed, severl of AGG’s members were eagerly awaiting May 15th to show up so we could get our grubby claws on a pristine virgin demonic box.  So here’s the jist of it:

The game is phenomenal, and it’s more fun with more players.  That stated, I figured I’d start a post to which players can respond with their battlenet Id’s.  This way we can add to our list of friends.  Another added benefit is that many of us also have Starcraft II.  Continue reading

An update:

Ok, so it’s been a long time since I’ve been on this board with an update.

Squig hoppers is great fun, however we’ve been busy playing things like Call of Duty: Black Ops and Starcraft. It’s taken us out of the element of non digital gaming with the exception of Atlantis: The Journey. The group had a run in with Nurgle recently overall, and so even those events have slowed too.
