Purging the City, A continued tale from the eyes of a Bard

Our story this week features Sasha the Paladin, Bragor the Cleric, Trogdor the Barbarian, Ash-harr the Wizard, Gnoc the Monk, and of course Soveliss the amazing Bard.

The dwarven temple was silent aside from the faint sounds of scurrying that the smaller golems made as they moved around, going about tasks set for them many hundreds of years ago. I had been left behind the previous night when the rest of the party had gone into the city below and with everybody ready to go down a second time I would not remain above again. The Halfling was nowhere to be found as we started down the stairs and refused to show his self when we called out for him. Knowing that he had probably found something shiny to distract himself we decided to continue on without the Rogue to finish purging the Dwarven city and collect whatever treasures that might remain there.

The Dwarven City:

The troup sans the bard continued their quest to rid the city of the dark menace of undead.

Several Dark buildings rose from the ground, carved out of the very bones of the mountain themselves rising from the ground to to ceiling the span of two stories.  A grand staircase thirty foot across lead into this city.  Eerie blue orbs lit the thuroughfares between buildings and the stairwell and the presence of evil was nearly tangible.  Continue reading

Aelland Adventures-The Hunt for the Red Dragon

In this most recent adventure we had Gerbo the thief, Sovelis the bard, Sasha the paladin, Dumb Dumb the fighter, Gnoc the monk, and Trogdor the barbarian.

The weather in the Ice giant city was horrendous, even the ice giants didn’t wander too far in the blizzard, and the one who came to get them was none too happy about his role in the event.  The party followed him tethered by a single rope, asking to visit a shop first for some goods.  The party resupplied and got ready to travel into the heart of the mountain.  Continue reading

Into the Mountains, The Continuing Tale from the Eyes of a Bard

This last sessions game featured the exploits of our party of intrepid adventurers: Gerbo, the halfling Rogue, Dumb Dumb, the Half-Orc Fighter, Trogdor, the Half-Orc Barbarian, Gnoc, the Half-Elf Monk, and Soveliss, the Half-Elf Bard.

We awaken after a restful night to the sound of thunder and torrential rain, and after a quick look around found Sasha missing from our numbers. While searching for the missing Paladin I heard the sounds of a panting dog and stuck my head out of the cave to investigate what could be making the noise. I quickly spotted the Rogue and his dog Poe at about the same time they spotted me, apparently having risked the storm to track down the party. We both retreated back into the cave to try and escape the effects of the storm. Continue reading

Journey to the Ice Mountains from the Eyes of a Bard

We awaken on our third day in the city, eager to begin our journey to find the red dragon in the Ice Mountains. Before we could set off, however, we had to wait for the Paladin to collect his Lion’s saddle. With the rest of the party forced to wait we decided to spend the morning in the company of some beautiful women down at the local brothel. Upon our return to the inn to collect our gear, I found a letter waiting for me from the ever mysterious Athena. It stated that the Al’soh for the Blue Dragon we were seeking might just be found in the company of the Red Dragon, a bonus to the mission we were already planning on undertaking. I spread the contents of the letter to the rest of the party and we eagerly began the planning for the journey. Continue reading

The Trip to the people of the Sun.

The party remained primarily the same, with the exception of the cleric disappearing into a puddle of water, only to be replaced by a much uglier half elf bard.

The party exited the ruins they were in, only to find be surprised by a hill giant, who was bathing in the oasis.  A swift battle ensued in which several of the combatants had difficulty reaching him, however, he found himself overpowered once they managed to get in with him. Continue reading

Aelland: The Dragonsblood Desert

This game we had the usual suspects playing.  Gerbo, Gnoc, Dumb Dumb, Sasha, Trogdor, and Labia.  Glorri Googleberry was also tagging along.

The party was preparing to exit the cave they were hiding in when Googleberry noticed a cadre of  the melting men wandering about outside.  The party was planning for a mad dash when the melting men attacked some rust monsters that had managed to sniff the party out.  The party did not hesitate and ran as swiftly as they could.  Continue reading

Adventures in Aelland: The DragonsBlood Desert

So, for the past three game sessions I had been apologizing to the cast.  They thought it was the game they were playing that night.  What wasn’t covered is that it was actually to cover this game, of which I still apologized profusely for.

So the cast:  Gerbo the halfling thief, Sasha the paladin, Dumb Dumb the half-orc warrior, Trogdor the half-orc barbarian, Gnoc the monk, and Labia the scantily clad cleric. Continue reading
