This game we had the usual suspects playing. Gerbo, Gnoc, Dumb Dumb, Sasha, Trogdor, and Labia. Glorri Googleberry was also tagging along.
The party was preparing to exit the cave they were hiding in when Googleberry noticed a cadre of the melting men wandering about outside. The party was planning for a mad dash when the melting men attacked some rust monsters that had managed to sniff the party out. The party did not hesitate and ran as swiftly as they could. I’ve been intending to update this a bit sooner, but things at work have been busy. So the players had a little combat, and they all accused me of trying to kill them. Honestly I wasn’t that cruel, they only suffered a few minor cuts and bruises, but any good storyteller will tell you, sometimes the players will over emphasize such things. On to the game:
As the adventurers arrived at the city of Key they found a hastily erected encampment at the west gates. As they approached two city guards blocked their way, a town crier yelling in the background warning of roving bands of Kobolds attacking the surrounding countryside. Continue reading
As shouted from the town crier in Key:
“Hear ye, hear ye! Beware on your travels. Kobolds ravage the country side. Several hamlets are burning. The Thane of Key is currently working on an actionable plan but states the defense of Key is paramont and will take precident.”
And so it began, a new journey for a hopeful set of adventurers. I made the players roll up new characters which will serve as their backups should one of their characters dies in game. Continue reading
